You are an analytical problem solver with excellent customer service skills. As the Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and their employees while ensuring the key deliverables are executed efficiently. Working closely with the Time & Attendance Specialist and HR teams at all Canfor Pulp facilities, you will collaborate with a multitude of internal stakeholders while you oversee the successful implementation of training, audit of training, crew scheduling, and position management processes.


The life of the Scheduling Coordinator includes:

  • Provide transactional support for all divisional scheduling requirements (crew changes due to attrition/strengthening/job postings, leave scheduling, minimum manning, training, education leaves, maintenance shift coverage, Turnaround temporary manning, and refused overtime processes).
  • Complete all crew and position changes within HRIS systems for divisional hourly employees
  • Process hourly employee expense reports; e.g. Drivers’ Medical, Railway Medical
  • Develop processes and documentation for sustainment and training purposes
  • Run audit reports for operational and compliance training
  • Provide data and analytics for training


For this role, come armed with:

  • Sound knowledge of process management and continuous improvement processes.
  • Effective computer skills specifically with Microsoft Suite (Excel)
  • Strong communication skills- both verbal and written


In an ideal world, you have post-secondary education and proven leadership, HR Systems, and development skills. For bonus points, you have the ability to work within a variety of systems to provide training and support to key stakeholders.
